Sloping land was a considerable challenge for the architect. Overcoming the obstacles, the house was planned with the concept of split floor levels which connected through a long running stepped circulation backbone. Furthermore, this contemporary house’s overall design had minimized the land utilization, allowing more open, garden space for the client. The turf roof terrace provides a perfect blend to the context which provides a total green appearance. The design has been well equipped with passive strategies minimizing energy demand, including cross ventilation, natural light harvesting and orienting the house reducing heat gain from sun.
